The Hengqin Sumlodol Resort is located on Hengqin Island located on the South China Sea in Zhuhai, China, a free trade zones that is focused on international tourism. The project program is a family resort with multiple opportunities for entertainment and lodging from camping to unique boutique hotels based on the themes of ocean and connection to nature. The project site of 200,000 SM (20 Hectares), that will include two boutique hotels of 120 keys and 180 keys operated by Hilton Garden Inn, camping cabin villages, a central lake and a children’s amusement park of 60,000 SM.

HCD worked with the Hengqin Tourist Development Group from master planning through the architectural design of the hotels, camping grounds and the children’s amusement park with the goal of providing families access to nature, fresh air and a clear view of the  night sky when they stay in the park. The project was completed in 2020.
