Infinite Bridge

The Infinite Bridge is on a fundamental level a connection over a river for both pedestrians and cars to connect the multiple parcels of the Taian City mixed use development.  The bridge in Chinese culture has multiple symbolic meanings on a political and cultural level.  On a political level it means benefit to the people through upright and honest social and political values. On the cultural level the bridge is seen as a component of an artistic landscape. The infinite bridge carries on the tradition through the separation of vehicles and pedestrians through a juxtaposition of arch and line , connected to extend this tradition while accommodating present day requirements.
