The great and unique natural beauty of Tibet is embedded in the religion, art, architecture and culture of Tibet. This museum is located at the crest of a hill is designed as an addition to the ancient Potaia Palace. The museum is approached by a pathways garden that negotiates the slope of the mountain which is named “the Road to Heaven” which engages the experience of the natural surroundings in the museum experience and engaging this space with the space of the old palace and the new museum creating a sense of the immeasurable which is the foundation of Tibetan Culture.
